About the Practitioner

Hi, I’m Allison Evans and I’m the HypnoBirthing practitioner behind Wisdom Childbirth Education. I became a certified HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator (H.B.C.E.) in 2006, after experiencing the serene natural births of my two children using this wonderful method.

I believe passionately in natural childbirth, and I believe that every woman possesses birthing wisdom. It may have gotten lost amid our society’s and modern medicine’s negative messages about birth, but it’s still there. HypnoBirthing can help you to rediscover it and have the healthy, natural birth you were made for!

Before I became a mother I was an English teacher. I have an M.A. in English from George Mason University in Virginia (1999), and with it I taught both technical college and secondary school. Before that I was a Naval Officer. I received my commission upon graduation from the University of Nebraska (B.A. English and French) in 1993. I was stationed in Japan, where I met my husband, Guy, and then was posted to Washington, D.C. We now live very happily in Central London with our children, who are now five and three.
